Blog Review: TotallytheBomb.com – 33 Three Ingredient Crockpot Recipes
Here are some things to know about the blog:
- The author of the blog is Jamie Harrington. She’s a mom who loves, of course, blogging, but also playing games and watching silly movies. You can find out about her by clicking her name.
- The blog isn’t just about food. She has printables to help organize your thoughts and tips on organizing your family. All of these things are peppered with her positive and bright writing style. I really enjoyed reading her blog, even though all of my kids are grown and have their own families.

Now onto the recipes. I decided to try:
- Creamy Chicken Tacos
- Sweet Glazed Pork Chops
- Peach Cobbler
Here’s the finished results:
1. Creamy Chicken Tacos
Three ingredients: chicken breast, rotel, cream cheese
I cooked this in the crock pot on high for about 4 hours adding the cheese in the last hour and then stirred it together before serving. This was a big hit at our house. Very tasty. We just added the things we like with tacos, namely, guacamole, sour cream and cheese. We will definitely be making this again. One note. I think next time I may drain some of the water off the chicken before adding the cream cheese. It was a little watery in the taco, Still definitely a thumbs up here at the hen house.
2. Sweet Glazed Pork Chops
Three ingredients: 5 boneless pork loin chops, 1 bottle chili sauce, 1 cup grape jelly
This recipe was extremely simple. It had one extra step in that you have to use your electric mixer (I wouldn’t do this by hand) to combine the two wet ingredients. Still, I put the pork in the bottom of my crock pot so that they didn’t overlap and then just poured the mixture over them. I also did these on high for 4 hours. I have to say, these were absolutely delicious. They were tender and flavorful and EASY! It gets all thumbs up here at the hen house as well. The one criticism I have with this dish is that it has a lot of leftover sauce that I just poured down the sink. Next time I may just use half of what it called for, unless some of you have some suggestions for the leftover sauce. Please note it in the comments for us.
3. Peach Cobbler
Three ingredients: peaches, white cake mix, butter
I use two large cans (29 ounces) of sliced peaches. I drained them in a colander and then poured them into the bottom of the crock pot. Then I cut the butter into the cake mix with a pastry blender and sprinkled it over the top of the peaches. Yep! It’s that easy.
This recipe gets 2 out of 3 thumbs up at the hen house. It actually was very easy to make, but while the gentlemen in the hen house liked the sweet, gooey cobbler, it was a bit sweet for my taste. If you like the traditional type cobbler, this is probably not for you. It was very tasty though I have to admit.
I have to give it to Jamie on this one. Every one of the recipes we tried were very easy and very delicious. I wouldn’t have thought it possible, but there you have it. Sometimes even an old hen can learn a new trick or 2. 😀
